Taimi Li was born on July 6, 1989, to actress Huang Qiuyan and her husband Jet Li. Jet Li is also a famous personality who has made a name for himself by acting as a martial artist in numerous Kung Fu movies.
When Taimi was still young, her parents chose to divorce and they did so in 1990, when she was still a young girl. Even with the challenges, Taimi has embraced happiness and continued to live a fulfilling life.
After her parents’ divorce, her father found love again and he married Nina Li Chi, which led to Taimi’s two half-sisters Jada Li and Jane Li.

Taimi’s father continued with martial arts competitions and between 1974 to 1979, he won the Men’s All-Round National Wushu championship five times. He retired from competitive wushu at the age of 18 and began an acting career in China.
Taimi’s father’s first role as an actor was in Shaolin Temple, a martial arts film that became an instant hit in East Asia. He began appearing frequently in Kung Fu films including Kids from Shaolin in 1984 which became the highest-grossing film in China.
Jet Li was born in Beijing as the youngest child in a family of four children, two boys and two girls. Li’s family lived in extreme poverty, mostly because his father died when he was two years old.
He was discovered at the age of eight and went on to take training lessons. Besides his career as an actor, LI has been a philanthropic ambassador for the Red Cross Society of China.
