Patricia Ann Garner is actress Jennifer Garner’s mother and the wife of William Garner. Patricia grew up on her family farm growing leaf lettuces, radishes, potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, and farm animals. Patricia’s daughter Jennifer is an American actress, entrepreneur, and advocate. She came to the spotlight in 2001’s Pearl Harbor but her first role was in 1995 on the television film Zoya and Fox teen drama series Time of Your Life. Jennifer starred in Alias, 13 Going On 30, Daredevil, Elektra, Juno, and Dallas Buyers Club increasing her popularity in the entertainment industry. Her breakthrough was in the ABC action thriller Alias playing Sydney Bristow from 2001 to 2006.
She was nominated for Primetime Emmy Awards four times and won a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Her recent films were Love, Peppermint and Simon in 2018, Yes Day in 2021, and Adam Project in 2022, and 2023 she was featured on the Apple TV+ series The Last Thing He Told Me. Garner and her workmate Scott Foley got married in 2000 and parted ways in 2003 after she filed a divorce on irreconcilable differences. She dated Michael Vartan who is also an actor from 2003 to 2004.
She obtained a restraining order for his daughter’s husband Affleck from her stalker Steven Burky, he stalked her in 2003 and also in 2008 and he was arrested in 2009 outside Violet’s preschool. Steven was charged with stalking but in 2010, he was sent to a state mental hospital in California.
Jennifer established a relationship on set with Ben Affleck in 2004 and got married in a private Turks and Caicos ceremony in 2005. They had three children together Violet Anne born in 2005, Fin and Samwel Garner. Unfortunately, they separated in 2015 and officiated their divorce in 2018 with joint physical and legal custody of the children as Affleck was struggling with alcoholism.
She moved on with John C Miller a businessman from 2018 to 2020 but split for a year and luckily, they were able to fix their differences and got back together. Garner is the chief brand officer of Once Upon a Farm company together with John Foraker, to produce organic food, and in 2009, they were the first company to have refrigerated baby food for WIC-eligible communities.
She is an activist for early childhood education and advocates for anti-paparazzi campaigns among celebrity kids and the bill was passed into law in 2013. She’s a co-owner of the Angel City FC group of the National Women’s Soccer League, and partnered with Save the Children, to bring A Million Meals to communities across America with food shortages.

They have an Oklahoma farm property, which gives them an ancestral definition. The family moved to the farm in 1936 bought a horse and started growing a garden. The family added 35 acres with adjoining tax title land. Patricia’s father died in 1962 and her mother sold the family farm to her brother James and wife Helen. James put a fence on the property, sold it to his brother Robert in 2008, and built a modern house for his family. Jennifer bought the family farm in 2017 hoping to pass it down to other generations.
