Amy Fickel is the wife of the head coach of Cincinnati Bearcats Luke Fickel. He has one of the most high-profile jobs in college football and is a former player. Amy plays the role of a coach’s wife, mother, chauffeur, homemaker, and planner in a psychiatrist.

Amy grew up in Ohio and was always around football as her brother played football. She was a cheerleader at Spencerville High School in Lim, Ohio. She then joined Ohio State University to study physical therapy.
Amy met her husband Luke Goecke in Columbus, Ohio during her sophomore year at OSU and got married after graduating. They had their wedding in June 2000 and celebrated their 24 anniversaries in June. She is a mother of six children and is the eighth child in her family of twelve.
Their oldest son Landon, is following in his father’s footsteps and plays for his father at the University of Cincinnati as an offensive guard in the 2021 recruitment class. They have two sets of twins Ashton and Aydon and the youngest twins Lakyn and Lucian. The twins always attend the father’s football practices and games. Amy’s daughter Luca is a successful volleyball player.
Amy Fickell’s husband Luke Fickell
Luke was born in Ohio and was on the first team of Ohio defensive tackle and wrestling state champion at St Francis Desales High School. He went and played for Ohio State University and in 1997 led the Buckeyes in Rose Bowl win over Arizona State. He was a free agent in the National Football League for one season. In 1999, he was hired as a defensive line coach for Akron University. He earned his position as interim head coach in 2011 after being at Ohio state for 14 years. In 2016 he was named the coach of the University of Cincinnati after Tommy Tuberville and had a record of 4-8 in the first season.
As of 2017, Fickel’s Bearcats headed into the CFP after not losing more than three games in a season. They have to face and beat the winner of Michigan Georgia. In the 2018 season, he was named AAC coach of the Year with an 11-2 and 35-32 record in the military bowl over Virginia Tech. his team won the East Division Championship in the AAC for the first time at 42-0.
He extended his contract in 2020 at Cincinnati through the 2026 season and was named for the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award. he led the Bearcats in 2021 to a perfect season record and won at the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Indiana Hoosiers. They had a record of 35-20 over Houston Cougars defending their American Athletic Conference Football Championship.
Luke Fickell has an annual salary of over $3 million. He is currently the head coach at the University of Wisconsin replacing Paul Chryst and led the Badgers to a 7-5 but lost to the LSU Tigers 35-31 in the Relia Quest Bowl.
They have six kids and although Luke has a full-time coaching job, Amy covers for all the children
