His father Eric was in the musical theatre as an actor and his siblings are also actors. His sister Lilie Flynn is involved in several productions and was featured as an actress in The Score and The Sea Beast together with Karl Urban and Jared Harris. She sings with the Sussex Wit. His half-brother Daniel made four appearances as Billy in No Excuse in 1983 and has been in the entertainment industry for about forty years. In Song One, he plays as a musician named James Forester. He performed in Propellers all male Shakespeare troupe playing Curtis and Sebastian. He co wrote with Robert Macfarlane the song Coins for Eyes for the 9th series of the BBC program Digging for Britain.
Since 2020, he’s been featured in films such as Emma and wrote the song played along the ending credits and it was released with the film. He is on Operation Mincemeat and is in a British film The Dig on Netflix as Rory Lomax. In 2022, he got a major role with Mark Rylance in The Outfit and plays Nicholas Winton in One Life released in 2024. His latest project is on Netflix series Ripley as Dickie Greenleaf.
