As a result, Eden began entertaining her family through singing, which is how she discovered her love for singing. She also joined the church choir and sang the solos. When she was sixteen years old, she took singing classes with a voice teacher and acting.

Eden’s acting career began when she had some roles on The Johnny Carson Show in 1955. She also made featured appearances on shows like I Love Lucy, Target: The Corruptors, Gunsmoke, December Bride, and many others.

The actress had numerous guest roles before she was discovered and rose to fame. She found success after she was noted by Mark Robson, a film director who wanted her to work for 2oth Century Fox.

Eden’s screen role was in No Down Payment in 1957, although she did not get the role. She signed a contract with the company and began with minor roles before she had leading roles. She was a lead actor in Flaming Star with Elvis Presley, and A Private Affair, roles which gave her exposure to the industry.

In 1965, the actress rose to further fame after she had a leading role in I Dream of Jeanie. Producer Sidney Sheldon chose her for the role after numerous applicants had failed to get the role. She played the role for five years and aired 139 episodes.
